Overview

This is an Evening Position 

 

Job Summary

 

You will be the first point of contact in the reception area for all visitors to the cargo unit and play an important role in maintaining organisation. You will be dealing with all requests in a professional and efficient manner as well as deliver an exceptional experience for all visitors and provide effective local administrative support.

Responsibilities

Day to day you will be responsible for:

 

  • Dealing with customers, both face to face and on the phone
  • Cash Invoicing
  • Data entry into Excel Spreadsheets & internal systems
  • Processing documents for deliveries and collection
  • Greeting clients and visitors, sorting post, filing etc.
  • Comply with all relevant legislation as well as airport authority and carrier security requirements
  • Comply with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Operate any necessary machinery

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will need to be or have:

  • In possession of at least three GCSE’s or equivalent
  • Ability to speak and understand the English language 
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts (days, evening, nights, weekends, and public holidays)
  • Ability to travel to the airport at times where public transport is not available
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Must be IT literate and able to learn airline specific computer systems
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexible approach when required
  • Willingness to work in inclement weather if required
  • Able to demonstrate good customer service
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently 
  • Previous experience working in an aviation environment is desired
