Swissport is seeking a skilled and dedicated Auto Electrician to join our team at Dublin Airport. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all electrical systems across our fleet of vehicles, including cars, buses, trucks, and other airport transport equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical components on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Diagnose electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Repair or replace electrical wiring, batteries, alternators, starters, lighting systems, and more.
• Work on critical systems including air conditioning, alarm systems, anti-lock brakes, fuel injection, ignition, and heating.
• Perform system tests and troubleshoot electrical systems to ensure proper operation.
• Work with customers to understand their concerns and provide solutions based on vehicle electrical system diagnoses.
• Complete job reports, cost estimates, and labor hours documentation for repair and service tasks.
• Provide recommendations for repairs and replacements, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience as an Auto Electrician or in a similar role within the automotive or transport industry.
• Strong knowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems, including the use of diagnostic equipment and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and technical documentation.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication skills for dealing with customers and team members.

Qualifications:

• Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Formal qualifications in Auto Electrical Technology or related fields preferred (e.g., Automotive Service Technician, Electrical Engineering).
• Previous experience working with automotive electrical systems, ideally in the transportation or aviation industry.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts and on-call as required.
• Valid driver’s license.
