Based at Heathrow Airport - Cargo 

 

To motivate, engage and inspire staff to deliver the best possible service as well as maintain excellent relationships with customers and authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise/allocate tasks including reporting absences and overtime.
  • Plan and deploy resource to meet customer and operational requirements.
  • Develop an open feedback culture by managing the performance of employees and ensure workplace standards are maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with all Swissport corporate safety and security procedures in order to meet/exceed regulatory standards that deliver the desired customer service experience.
  • Comply with all relevant legislation as well as airport authority and carrier security requirements.
  • Comply with Swissport policies, procedures and processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date manuals and documentation as required
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers and airport authorities.
  • Encourage consistency and collaboration by ensuring clear communication at all levels. This will include staff briefings, shift handover meetings, one-to-ones and completion of relevant reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Swissport Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
  • Resolve conflict and irregularities and take appropriate action.
  • On the job guiding, coaching and mentoring.
  • Signing off break/build documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications and Competencies

  • In possession of at least three GCSEs / O Level
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts (days, evening, nights, weekends, and public holidays)
  • Ability to speak and understand the English language
  • Ability to travel to the  airport at times when public transport is not available
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Able to work as part of a team in a challenging environment
  • Previous experience working in an aviation environment is desired
  • Demonstrate supervisory experience for at least three years
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A full driving licence
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to learn relevant computer system
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures and apply flexible approach when required
  • Commitment to continuous improvement
