We are looking for highly motivated individuals to service, repair and maintain all types of Ground Service Equipment (GSE). You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all GSE and upload inspection findings and job details into Swissport’s fleet management system. The role will be on the desirable shift of 4 on 4 off shift, the role will be predominately workshop based but you will be required to be airside as and when needed to keep the wheels of the Swissport operation rotating to a very high standard and to assist the operation to minimise impact. The aviation industry is a fast paced, exciting environment to operate in and two days are never the same.
Key Requirements:
Qualified Technician with City & Guilds or equivalent certification
Minimum of 1 year post-apprenticeship experience
Strong mechanical aptitude with diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Eagerness to learn and develop new competencies
Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Ability to perform safety inspections and routine maintenance
Positive, flexible team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude
Welding experience is a plus, but not essential
Comfortable working in varying weather conditions
Must have own tools
Willingness to travel for training or to support other Swissport stations with GSE needs
Ability to pass DBS security background checks
