Ramp Services Manager -T4

Reports to: Head of Airside
The Ramp Services Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of ramp operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery in line with Swissport standards and customer expectations. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a commitment to safety and compliance.
Drive continuous improvement in safety and service quality for customers and operations.
Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures, and aviation security regulations.
Implement and uphold the Corporate QHSE Manual and Swissport Code of Conduct.
Conduct regular audits to monitor adherence to SOPs and safety protocols.
Lead incident investigations and enforce timely corrective actions.
Escalate procedural deviations to the Station Manager for approval.
Manage staff assignments and oversee ramp supervisors for efficient operations.
Hold daily management briefings and support front-line leadership.
Train and coach ramp staff to enhance performance and safety awareness.
Maintain strong relationships with airline clients and airport authorities.
Ensure clear communication and collaboration to meet service expectations.
Proven experience in airport ramp operations or ground handling management.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
In-depth knowledge of aviation safety and security regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Familiarity with Swissport systems and procedures is an asset.
