Swissport is the world's largest provider of ground and cargo handling services in aviation — and we're on the lookout for a sharp, contract-savvy Paralegal to join our Legal Department for an exciting 6-month opportunity!

Got hands-on experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts? Love getting stuck into the detail while keeping an eye on the bigger commercial picture? This could be your next move.

  • Advising our in-house legal team on contractual terms, obligations, and commercial risk.
  • Getting involved in contractual disputes and a variety of ad hoc commercial legal queries.
  • Reviewing data protection and privacy agreements, including Data Processing Agreements.
  • Spotting and managing legal and commercial risks before they become problems!
  • Supporting compliance with anti-competition and anti-bribery/corruption requirements.
  • Making sure we stay on track with Group Directives and Delegation of Authority requirements.
  • Building brilliant relationships across the business, translating legal jargon into clear, practical advice for non-legal colleagues.
  • Teaming up with the Head of Legal and wider legal team to keep matters moving efficiently.
  • Digging into legal research to support the team on a range of matters.
  • Occasional travel to airports across the UK&I — because no two days are the same!

  • In-house legal experience? Big bonus!
  • Experience with data protection and privacy matters, including DPAs — another great plus.
  • Bonus points if you've got aviation or regulated-industry experience, though it's not essential.
  • Sharp commercial instincts and the ability to explain risk clearly to non-lawyers.
  • Top-notch communication skills and a knack for building strong working relationships.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple contracts and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Sharp attention to detail, strong integrity, and great judgement.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office — Word, Excel, and Microsoft 365.
